Five years ago today, our world became brighter, louder, sweeter, and infinitely more fun.

You entered this world exactly the way you've lived ever since—completely on your own terms.

Born at 33 weeks, you decided the normal rules didn't apply to you. You were breech and started life by mooning the entire delivery room. I'll never forget your father saying, "That's not a head." Honestly, that should have been our first clue about the personality we were getting. 😂

Your first month was spent in the NICU, where you showed us just how strong and determined you were. After the heartbreak of losing your brother two years before you arrived, you were our rainbow baby—the little girl who brought sunshine back into our lives when we needed it most.

Today, that tiny preemie who fit in our hands is five years old. You're funny, stubborn, imaginative, loving, endlessly curious, and absolutely fearless. You keep us laughing with your stories, surprise us with your determination, and somehow make every day a little more interesting.

Watching you grow has been one of the greatest gifts of our lives. We are so proud of the little girl you are becoming and so grateful that we get to be your parents.

May your day be filled with cake, presents, adventures, laughter, and all your favorite things.
